We’ve been hard at work on more enhancements for your radio station, and our latest update is finally here. Packed with functional improvements, fresh features, and practical tools to save you time, Pro Radio WordPress Theme version 7.3 is ready to make your station shine.

Fixes and Improvements

Even the best software occasionally needs a tune-up. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to address minor issues as soon as they come to our attention. In this new release, we’ve resolved a few bugs related to Elementor widgets:

• Accurate show detection for cross-midnight broadcasts: The current show is now correctly recognized in both the weekly Shows Schedule and the Upcoming Shows carousel, even if it ends after midnight.
• Improved current show display in the custom player widget: Previously, shows that crossed midnight weren’t appearing as “on air.” This issue is now fixed in the new version of Pro Radio Elementor Widgets.
• Category filtering in the post scroller: The category filter now works as intended, allowing you to create post scrollers that display only the categories you select.

New Features

With the fixes behind us, let’s explore what’s new and exciting.

Blur Effect on Music Player

A new customizer option lets you add a subtle blur effect to the music player’s background. This not only makes the text easier to read but also creates a visually appealing blend with your page’s colors, giving your site a sleek, modern look.

The blur effect for the moment is only available in Desktop view, for compatibility limitations with mobile devices.

Custom “Coming Soon” and Maintenance Pages

Now, without relying on third-party plugins, you can put your site in “Coming Soon” mode or mark it as under maintenance. Simply head to the Reading settings and choose a maintenance page. Visitors will see the designated page while you work behind the scenes. With this feature, you can display a temporary landing page designed with Elementor, showcasing Pro Radio features like the music player, current song title, artwork, and more—all styled with your own branding.

The options can be enabled from Settings > Reading.

Custom 404 Pages

In a similar vein, you can now create custom 404 pages. When visitors encounter a broken link or missing content, you can guide them back on track with a personalized page. Add a search box, a friendly message, or even highlight current shows and news.

Chart Play Icon Effect

To enhance user interaction, we’ve added a play button that appears on hover in the chart area. Visitors can now easily click to listen, improving engagement and helping them connect with your content more intuitively.

Sidekick Playlist Default Artwork

We know some songs might not come with artwork—new releases, remixes, or rare tracks can leave gaps in your design. With our latest update, you can set a default artwork image to appear whenever a song lacks its own cover. This ensures a clean, consistent look and a more polished presentation overall.
